Tropical hardwood crane mats
Tropical hardwood crane mats, also known as bogmats, dragline mats, navy mats or excavator mats, are recognized for their exceptional durability. They are easy to install and long-lasting, and are used extensively in construction and heavy machinery operations worldwide.
Advantages of wooden crane mats
Hardwood crane mats offer several advantages over mats from other materials, such as the environmental benefits as a renewable and carbon storing resource, the adaptability to various terrains and their natural durability and load-bearing capacity. Tropical hardwood mats are an indispensable tool across construction sites and industrial applications globally.
Dimensions of crane mats
The size of tropical hardwood crane mats depends on their application and the load they must bear. Dimensions typically range from 4.00 to 6.00 meters in length, with a thickness of 100mm to 300mm and 1.00 to 1.50 meters wide. These dimensions ensure optimal stability and support for heavy machinery. For specialized applications such as temporary bridges or crane support mats, we can also produce custom sizes and lengths up to 12 meters in our Kampen facility. Larger mats are often required in areas with softer ground or for heavier equipment to distribute weight more effectively.
Transport and sustainability
Thanks to our strong sourcing base in West Africa and efficient shipping capabilities, we can transport tropical hardwood dragline mats directly from the source to their final destination worldwide. This direct approach allows us to offer very competitive rates without compromising on quality. We can also deliver mats with an FSC certification, guaranteeing certified, responsible forest management and a sustainable production chain.
